Who can purchase this policy?
Any individual owning musical instruments, including students, amateur musicians, professional musicians, and collectors.
Does the policy cover overseas use?
Yes. The policy offers worldwide coverage, including overseas travel, subject to selection during quotation.
What is covered and what is not covered?
All risks of accidental physical loss or damage unless specifically excluded.
Following are not covered:
- Wear and tear or gradual deterioration
- Insects, vermin, or rodents
- Inherent vice or defective workmanship
- Dishonest, fraudulent, or criminal acts by the insured or entrusted persons
- War, terrorism, nuclear risks, sanctions, or communicable disease

How is premium calculated?
Premiums are calculated automatically based on the declared insured value, availability of original invoices, and whether the instrument will be used overseas. The system aggregates premiums for multiple instruments under one policy.
What is the deductible value?
SGD 250 – where insured value at inception is SGD 5,000 or below.
SGD 1,000 – where insured value at inception exceeds SGD 5,000.
Is an original purchase invoice required?
An original invoice is encouraged but not compulsory.
How many instruments can be insured under one policy?
Up to five instruments can be insured under a single policy, with each instrument declared separately.
What is the maximum sum insured?
The maximum limit is SGD 100,000 per insured musical instrument, subject to underwriting limits.
What happens if I have previous claims or declined insurance?
If you declare previous claims or declined insurance, your application will be referred to Tigermar for manual underwriting.
How will I receive my policy documents?
Upon successful payment, policy documents will be emailed to you, including the Certificate of Insurance and policy wording PDFs.
How do I submit a claim?
You can submit your claim by providing the details outlined in your policy confirmation email, including policy number, date of loss, sum insured, description of the incident, and relevant supporting documents such as invoices, photos of the damaged instrument, and a police report (if applicable).
What happens after I submit my claim?
Once your claim is received, our team will acknowledge it within 3 working days, review the information provided, and assess the next steps required to assist with claim resolution.
How long does the claims process take?
Claims are assessed on a case‑by‑case basis. Our team will work closely with you and the insurer to ensure a smooth and timely resolution, keeping you informed throughout the process. Claims offer will be provided within 2 weeks of receiving all documentation.
