Our People

Duncan has over 45 years’ experience in the broking industry and has held Marine & Energy Broking Director roles at Jenner Fenton Slade and Agnew Higgins Pickering before joining JLT and co-founding their successful Marine Special Risks business. Duncan joined Tigermar in January 2022 from Marsh, following its takeover of JLT.

Highly respected amongst his peers, Duncan enjoys long-standing relationships with a wide network of ship owners, ship finance banks, cedants, independent brokers and insurers. He also has extensive experience in the reinsurance market and brings a wealth of knowledge with him in this regard. Since joining Tigermar Duncan has been instrumental in sharing his experience, offering alternative insights into our existing business, and expanding our client base through his broad network.

When he’s not in the office, Duncan spends much of his time at his home in Lancashire with his large (and growing) family, looking after his garden and having the occasional flutter on a horse.
