Carine would prefer not to tell you how long she has been in the insurance industry, but needless to say, it has been a long time! She began her career at Aon, before moving to Marsh and then JLT. In 2014 she joined Tigermar as one of the company’s founders.

Carine has excellent all-round knowledge and expertise of all forms of marine insurance, and from various perspectives, including, claims handling, account handling, client servicing, market broking and business production. If she had to name one domain as her area of expertise, it would probably be project and commodity cargo, having successfully executed a number of high-risk projects, and trading house programmes throughout her career.

As part of Tigermar’s management team in Singapore, Carine plays an active role in mentoring and training our future generation of brokers. Her adage is that life begins at the end of your comfort zone which is perhaps why she never allows anyone in the office to get too comfortable!
