Our People

Steve began his career in London in 1986 as a Junior Broker with John Plumer & Partners. He then went on to work for Price Forbes and Willis before taking up a position as CEO and Principal Officer at RFIB, for whom he established a Singapore Office. He joined Tigermar in 2021 and now handles a variety of business from across Asia, particularly in Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Where possible, Steve seeks to cultivate strong relationships with cedants and reinsurers by taking the time to meet them in person and discussing the merits of a risk in detail. He has extensive knowledge of a variety of product lines from traditional marine risks such Hull and Machinery, P&I and Liabilities to more exotic risks such as Dolphin Mortality Insurance – yes, he arranged life insurance for ‘Flipper’.

Steve is a philanthropist, thespian and patron of the arts. He is also a West Ham fan and an eternal optimist.
